It has come to the notice of the British Council that fake e-mails offering scholarships for study abroad under the Chevening programme are being circulated. Only the British High Commission, through the British Council offers Chevening scholarships. Kindly do not respond to such e-mails. Please check with us in case of any doubts.

A typical seminar attracts participants from 15-20 countries who work together as members of a fully multinational group. Each seminar provides stimulating insights into various aspects of professional and academic issues. The objective of these seminars and conferences is to initiate ongoing, open and two-way dialogue with participants from all around the world with a view to establishing and maintaining lasting relationships.

How can the British Council assist me?
The British Council in India helps you to process your application and co-ordinate UK travel and visa arrangements. Extensive pre-departure briefings are conducted for the selected participants at the British Council before they leave for the UK.

Does the British Council provide financial assistance?
The British Council does not offer any financial assistance to the participants.
