Grants for Postgraduate Study
Grants are made to Indian postgraduate students towards fees or maintenance costs or occasionally with the costs of field or archival work in the UK (not in India). The Trust often helps by providing a grant when a student is writing up or completing a thesis. These grants are normally made in the second or final year of study.  
Students studying for a PhD or MPhil (Research) in India who need to gather material in UK or consult with British academics or others in order to complete their thesis may be considered. International travel expenses are not covered.

Eligibility and Guidelines
Applicants should:
be Indian nationals
be aged between 25 and 38
have completed their first degree/diploma in the area of their specialisation
submit a proposal that should clearly states what they want to do in the UK and where.
provide the name, address, phone number and e-mail of their research supervisor

Those with little or no overseas exposure will be given preference.
