Postgraduate Scholarships

Full one-year postgraduate scholarships covering stipend (at rates matching those used by the British Council), international travel, and tuition fees. These awards are in restricted subject areas and include:

  1. creative arts, including visual arts, music and drama, design and curatorship
  2. architectural conservation

These are advertised and recruited for in India through the British Council and in the case of architectural conservation awards with the co-operation of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH).

SUBJECT:
Postgraduate qualification or professional equivalent

DURATION:
Up to one academic year

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:
Two or three in creative arts
One or two in conservation
One in curatorship
Eligibility and Guidelines
The applicants should:
be Indian citizens, domiciled and resident
be aged between 25 and 38
have good working knowledge of English
have completed their first degree/diploma in the area of their specialisation and have four/ more years of professional experience
the proposal should clearly state what they want to do in the UK and how they propose to put their training to use on their return to India
have already sought or agreed on placement/admission in an appropriate UK institution

Those with little or no overseas exposure will be given preference.
