To celebrate India Market Focus at the London Book Fair 2009, the British Council is organizing an India V Rest of the World cricket match among participants (authors, publishers and organisers) to be played at the picturesque Hampstead Cricket Club in London. The match is being sponsored by Asia Literary Review. All Indian authors and publishers attending The London Book Fair are invited to come and cheer their team and we will offer traditional English cricket lunch and Pimms to those who attend. The India team is a balanced combination of Indian authors invited by the British Council or Sahitya Akademi to take part in The London Book Fair, Indian publishers who have registered for The London Book Fair, and British Council India staff.
