Debating Matters India had 250 schools involved in the pilot year programme. We worked extensively with nearly`1200 students, 250 teachers and over 150 judges. Here’s what they had to say about their experience of Debating Matters.

I would like to thank the British Council for pioneering this unique  teaching – learning’ methodology into the art of public speaking.
Ranjana Bhattacharyya (Debate Coordinator, St.Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata)
No debating format can be compared to the one we experienced in DMI.It was tough, fun, exciting, thrilling and unnerving. Meeting the teams from all over India was a memorable experience I loved each and every moment of DMI. I learnt the importance of teamwork. Aashima Khosla (student), St Mark’s Senior Secondary School, New Delhi.
It was a terrific initiative, and personally, I was pretty impressed at how much it encouraged students like my niece Nayantara and her teammates to think about, and grapple with, current issues.
