Women's Studies Network
A collaborative initiative of the British Council and sixteen Women’s Studies Centres of Universities in India

The Women's Studies Network is a collaborative initiative of the British Council and twenty four Women’s Studies Centres of Universities in India. The purpose of the network is to enable members to engage in the following ways:

  • to share and expand the information knowledge base of women’s studies such as research projects, learning materials and other resources, using Information and Technology
  • to create links with academics and NGOs in UK on themes of mutual interest
  • to raise public understanding on gender equality, diversity and social inclusion
