Opportunity for Indian lawyers to qualify as an English solicitor in India
Take the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test

Indian lawyers will now be able to qualify as Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales without having to travel to England to do so.

The College of Law has been invited by the English Law Society to open two test centres for the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) in India. The QLTT is the conversion examination enabling overseas lawyers to qualify as solicitors.

Indian lawyers have been eligible to sit the test in London for several years but now the College is teaming up with the British Council to hold the QLTT in India itself, providing a much cheaper and more convenient route to dual qualification.

The College of Law is the largest provider of vocational legal education and training in Europe and the only institution which has provided the QLTT since its inception in 1990.

We will run the test in Mumbai on 23 April 2008 and 29 October 2008.

We will be offering:

  • Test sittings in Mumbai twice a year
  • Exam sensitive course materials and tuition
  • Expert tutors who are highly experienced trainers and practitioners
  • Superb support from a dedicated Client Services team

So if you want to enhance your international credentials with foreign companies investing in India and have access to most of the English courts please contact us.
