The aim of British Language Testing Service (BULATS) is to provide a reliable assessment of the language skills of your staff, in relation to the Association of Language Testers of Europe (ALTE) Level Framework.
For the Standard Test and Computer Test, scores are given on a standardised scale of 0-100. The Standard Test also gives scores for each sub-skill: listening, reading and grammar/vocabulary.

For the Speaking and Writing Tests, results are broken down into sub-levels within each ALTE Level. Additional scores are also given for sub-skills in the Speaking Test, such as pronunciation, range and accuracy of language, fluency and communicative effectiveness.
You will receive your results in the form of a Group Report for your company. Individual reports for each candidate can also be produced, for information purposes only. If your candidates require certificates, we recommend they take one of the examinations provided by the members of ALTE. (e.g. The Business English Certificates - BEC)
