CNN Newsroom and Worldview
CNN Newsroom is a well-structured daily educational feature based on a 30-minute news segment broadcast every day on cable and satellite. Schools which register with CNN Newsroom (free) are licensed to use recordings of the segment in class. The website contains a full transcript of the segment along with lesson materials and ideas on how to exploit the news segment in class.

This website is not very elegant but includes lots of great ideas for teaching poetry and fiction-writing in class. There are also detailed lesson plans and handouts that you can easily copy.

This website has lesson plans and articles galore with links to thousands more. Maintained by the Internet Teachers of English as a Second Language (TESL) Journal. This must be the most comprehensive source of teaching ideas on the Internet.

A garish website with some excellent advice, lesson plans and links, focused primarily on listening skills.
