CNN Newsroom and Worldview CNN Newsroom is a well-structured daily educational feature based on a 30-minute news segment broadcast every day on cable and satellite. Schools which register with CNN Newsroom (free) are licensed to use recordings of the segment in class. The website contains a full transcript of the segment along with lesson materials and ideas on how to exploit the news segment in class.
The Teachers' Inn The teachers’ section of Englishtown lesson plans, with useful links and a job market included.
School Websites Links to over forty secondary school websites in Hong Kong. A good place to get ideas for creating and organising a new school website.
SchoolWorld Internet Education An excellent international website for teachers looking to get their classes involved in internet-based projects. There is also lots of advice and support for teachers.
PIZZAZ!... This website is not very elegant but includes lots of great ideas for teaching poetry and fiction-writing in class. There are also detailed lesson plans and handouts that you can easily copy.
ESL/EFL Lessons and Lesson Plans This website has lesson plans and articles galore with links to thousands more. Maintained by the Internet Teachers of English as a Second Language (TESL) Journal. This must be the most comprehensive source of teaching ideas on the Internet.
Kent's ESL Wonderland A garish website with some excellent advice, lesson plans and links, focused primarily on listening skills.
