In November 2007 we launched Project English in India and Sri Lanka with the aim of improving English language learning opportunities across the region. Since the launch we have been working with state governments to design and run large scale teacher training and curriculum development projects that are helping to improve English language teaching in state schools. We have also been working with large corporate sector employers to improve language assessment and training systems.
The launch of the Chennai Teaching Centre heralds the start of the third stage of the project – direct delivery of high quality English language classes to students who are beyond the reach of our current centres in Delhi, Colombo and Kandy.
