The British Council, with its regional Project English, aims to address the challenges and issues facing industry. We continue to work with partners to plug the training gap and to help build capacity in English language competence and intercultural communication skills.
We offer new and innovative practices of working with corporate organisations in the ITES sector on consultancy projects that deliver in areas such as trainer training, intercultural communication training, UK culture training, role profiling, pre-service voice testing, recruitment, assessment and online e-learning.
Project English comprises a team of UK Senior Training Consultants based in Chennai who bring a wealth of teaching and training experience to the project. Our work is supported by a network of locally recruited trainers based in major cities around India.
Together we have over 15 years experience of working in the corporate sector in South Asia and combined experience of almost 80 years teaching and training in a variety of situations in over 30 countries. As British consultants working in India, we are uniquely placed to understand the expectations of UK customers and the challenges faced by Indian customer service representatives.
