Edexcel International is the department of Edexcel that deals exclusively with customers outside the UK. Formed in 1997, it has a team of over 60 staff, including its own Customer Relations Unit, operating in over 105 countries.
Edexcel International provides a comprehensive range of both academic and vocational (BTEC) qualifications, including:
- GCE O, AS and A levels
- GCSEs
- IGCSEs
- BTEC Firsts, Nationals and Higher Nationals
- Edexcel NVQs
- Vocational GCSE and Vocational A level
Edexcel International has its office in central London, and regional offices in Muscat, Delhi, Mysore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Hong Kong, to provide local solutions wherever possible.
Edexcel incorporates BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council), the top provider of applied and vocational qualifications, and London Examinations, one of the major GCSE and GCE examining boards in the UK. BTEC was formed in 1983 with the merger of TEC and BEC, and has taken the lead in the training of technologists and professionals. Since 1983 over four million students in the UK alone have enrolled on BTEC vocational programmes.
London Examinations (formerly known as The University of London Examinations and Assessment Council) has a history stretching back to 1838. In recent years, London Examinations has introduced modular A Levels and currently has over two million subject entries across its range of qualifications.
BTEC and London Examinations courses, syllabuses and qualifications are nationally and internationally accredited and audited. They are respected by employers and educationalists alike. Edexcel qualifications equip students with the vital knowledge, skills and confidence to meet the challenges of work in a global market.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) has obtained recognition throughout the world as both a route to employment and as a suitable exemption for a part of a university degree. The BTEC HND in Computing and Business Applications has been developed to enable participants to exploit knowledge of computing, web based development and marketing to further their own aspirations. The course has been developed in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University and others to ensure a rich learning experience.
Students on successful completion of the HND in Computing and Business Applications will:

- Be able to apply professional computer programming skills;
- Be capable of applying marketing skills and knowledge in the online marketplace;
