	In the last national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) the School achieved a 3a grade on a 5-point ‘Excellent’ scale – a very good result. 		Am I eligible to apply?

The University will entertain your application if:

You are a graduate in the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 (or equivalent) scheme of the Indian education system
You have at least 2 years of full time work experience after graduation
English has been your medium of instruction at least for 12 years in school
Be at least 23 years of age

		How do I apply?

	Complete the application form and send it to the MLZ along with copies of your degree certificate and mark sheets. On acceptance, the University will send you an offer letter.

		Do I need to take any entrance/eligibility tests?

	Admission to the MBA programme is merit based and candidates may be interviewed at the British Council. There are no entrance or eligibility tests. The final decision rests with the University of Bedfordshire Business School, UK.

		What certification do I get after completing this programme?

	On successful completion of the required number of modules/ projects, the University awards you with the Masters in Business Administration (MBA). The degree you receive will be the same as that received by full time students in the UK and others doing this course across the globe.

		Do I have to buy books separately?

	We think that it is useful to have an individual copy of the textbook used on a given module, especially as this will be linked to the CD Rom study materials. However, the British Council’s Library will have a small class set of textbooks.

		Is the course entirely online? Are there any face-to-face contact sessions?

This is a supported e-Learning programme. Support is offered in the following forms:

3-day induction workshop (12, 13 and 14 Jaunary 2007) conducted by University of Bedfordshire staff at the MLZ in Delhi. The programme uses a real-time voice-to-voice interactive seminar package called VIPER (Voice Internet Protocol Extended Reach) that gives students tutorial support directly from the University staff throughout each semester. Bedfordshire will also engage local facilitators to meet students for peer group discussions and help clarify doubts. These weekend sessions will be held at the British Council.
University of Bedfordshire lecturers provide a ‘Flying Faculty’ service, which delivers short overviews of each module, at British Council Delhi.
All the learning materials needed for each module are available on CD ROM, which gives easy-to-follow sections related to the topics and areas of study to be covered.
In addition students will use the University’s virtual learning environment, Blackboard, which enables the student to communicate with both the tutors and fellow students.
Students will also be able to access Bedfordshire’s digital learning resource centre.
There are opportunities for self-assessment throughout these sections.

		What is VIPER?

VIPER (Voice Internet Protocol Extended Reach) is a unique feature of the Bedfordshire eMBA programme. The software is based on a browser plug-in which is easily installed and requires about 33k of bandwidth to be fully operational. The software includes voice-to-voice seminars using VoiceIP technology. The online Voice technology also provides a web interface so that documents under discussion can be viewed during the tutorial and there is a white board for visual interaction, text chat, polling and a “hand up” feature. 		Is this course recognised?

	Yes. It is a University of Bedfordshire MBA, the equivalent of that granted by any other British university. The University of Bedfordshire received its University Charter from the UK government in 1993. However, it had already existed as an educational institution from the beginning of the 20th century.

		Can I study this programme on-campus?

	Yes. The Supported e-Learning MBA is nearly identical to the full-time and part-time versions taught on the Bedfordshire campus. Transfer would, therefore, be possible.

		Do you have a placement cell?

	In Bedfordshire we have a careers office, a ‘job shop’ and a work-based learning and internship placement office, but these are obviously for home-based students.

		Where do I take my examinations?

	At the British Council premises, New Delhi. Note, though, that formal written examinations are only one of the several assessment methods used on the programme. We also ask you to complete individual and group assignments by given deadlines, and there are also business presentations.

		How much does the programme cost?

The fee for the entire programme (10 modules, including the projects) is GBP Three Thousand Five Hundred only (£3500). This is inclusive of course material (CD-ROM based), examinations, study at the MLZ, membership to the British Council Library in Delhi and access to the MLZ library.

The fee is payable in five equal instalments.
