Young Learner's courses

Young Learner Courses

We offer a variety of courses for Young Learners between the ages of 8 and 15 at intermediate level and above.

Project Based Courses

With this course the young learners will enhance their language skills and also learn about the people who have helped to shape the world we live in. The courses are designed to enhance the confidence of these young learners who will be key players in shaping the future of the world we live in, this is reflected in the course names:

  • Ace Teens (13 to 15 years)
  • Shining Stars (11 & 12 years)
  • Whizz Kids (8 to 10 years)

These courses are designed to enhance your child’s communication skills and creativity in addition to improving their overall English language ability.

On these courses your child will:

  • Improve English level i.e. speaking, writing, listening, reading and pronunciation in addition to grammar and vocabulary.
  • Develop his/her team working skills and group discussion skills by working with classmates to design, plan and present their project.

Examples of the projects that the young learners will work on are:

  • Writing and performing a mini-drama or play
  • Writing and recording a simulated TV chat show
  • Designing and writing a magazine/newspaper

On the last day of the course, you will be invited to watch your child perform on the stage and see their work on display.

Skills Based Course

Write Right and Speak Out (Age 13-15)

This course is open to teenagers in the age group of 13 to 15 years and aims to improve their English language skills in both speaking and writing.

The course contents focuses on developing learners’ confidence and fluency in:

  • Delivering speeches
  • Debating
  • Problem solving
  • Extempore
  • Pronunciation
  • Expanding their Vocabulary
  • Writing good paragraphs
  • Composing effective essays using the process writing approach.

Video Based Courses

These communicative and interactive 16 hour courses are for Young Learners who already have a high standard of English but need to increase their confidence and creativity in order to use the language more effectively. The courses are centred around a film, which provides the stimulus for the skills and language-based activities during the course. Young Learners are divided into three courses according to their age, each working with a different film every term.

The courses are for children who have an Intermediate level of English or above and the registration for them is open at the moment.
