Bhavya Parekh Co Founder and Business Developer, Energy Gaming
Having a 3 year old hi-end technology Online and LAN gaming studio in Mumbai, Bhavya takes keen interest in ingenious proposals and promotion of gaming as a part of entertainment sector. He is responsible for the Business Development and Strategic Alliance in Energy Gaming. As official event partners to AMD, in the Gaming history of Mumbai, he was the first to introduce a Mobile Gaming Café. He also heads the gaming café owners and gamers syndicate so as to coordinate the emerging issues and solutions to make gaming more profitable industry.

Tigerbells is an animation studio and production company producing flash/2D and 3D animation content primarily for the European and North American production houses from its studios in India. The Mundoo Hunt, a concept developed at ettaminA Studios has been nominated by the Animation Magazine as the top 12 childrens show to watch out for. He has also developed program for the creative industry for the physically challenged.
Rama Krishna Founder & CEO, IACG Animation Pvt. Ltd & 4D Animations Pvt. Ltd.
He started his career at the age of 19yrs as a designer and groomed himself as a visualizer under a renowned organization (Pent media Graphics). Later he took over the operations of his company in Hyderabad.
He made his own identity as an academician by initiating a standardized education that provides a degree in multimedia for the first time in India from a reputed university JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University). With his 8yrs of experience in production he with his team spent most of their time on research to generate creative & quality outputs rather than quantity to differentiate them self to be unique in this creative competitive world. He is passionate to work as a VFX supervisor for films and as well is a hardcore programmer for simulations.
Alok Kejriwal Founder and CEO, Games 2 Win
Alok is a serial entrepreneur and founded Contests2win (c2w) in 1998. c2w was the world's first customized brands promotions website and has retained its leadership position since then. Alok and c2w have gone on to create 3 new businesses - Mobile2win in China and India, Media2win and Games2win and have raised venture capital from global companies such as ICICI, Softbank, Siemens, Clearstone Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank. Innovation, Passion and Integrity are the pillars of the group and the values that it represents. The group has experienced its first exit with the Mobile2win China business being acquired by Walt Disney in September 2006. Alok is a hands-on player, well entrenched in the media and brand space, and calls himself a pavement pounder - meeting clients and partners as often as he can. Paul Bennun Strategy of Somethin' Else
Paul Bennun is a game designer, entertainment producer and broadcaster. He is co-owner and Director of Strategy of Somethin' Else, a leading cross-platform production company in the UK. Somethin' Else is the largest radio independent, TV entertainment indie and a major interactive content producer, in which it has been active for almost a decade. Paul leads the Company's interactive department and future product / business strategy. He holds internationally recognised awards in games, radio, mobile technology and interactive broadcasting such as Bafta Awards, Sony Radio Academy Awards and the GSM Association Awards. He co-authored the British Government's recent report on the future of digital music, and is an artistic collaborator with the likes of: several Artangel artists, writer John Berger, Theatre de Complicite and Rotozaza. Paul also presents science, technology and usability programmes for the BBC.
Beatrice Pembroke Project Manager, Creative Economy, British Council, UK
The inaugural Young Interactive Entrepreneur award aims to champion and celebrate the importance of creative entrepreneurs working in the field of the interactive entertainment and media. It seeks to showcase international business innovation in the field of interactive entertainment and media using the UK as the nexus for cultural, creative and commercial exchange.
Entrepreneurs between 25 and 35 years working in any of the following sectors:
- Interactive design, marketing
- Interactive entertainment developers for the internet, digital TV, radio & mobile
- Leisure (software publishing and / or development)
- Experimental media
We recognise that a finalist may be active as an interactive artist (game designer, multimedia designer, etc.), but his/her work as an artist should be secondary to their focus as an entrepreneur in the promotion of the interactive industry in their country. Artistic talent will not be factored into the judging procedure – finalists will be judged solely on the merit of their entrepreneurial abilities in the industry.
India Finalist
- A selection committee creates a shortlist of contenders from the applications received.
- An established UK interactive entrepreneur conducts an interactive session with the shortlisted contenders.
- A panel of high profile judges selects a finalist to travel to the UK to represent India and compete for the international award through an interview process.
- The India finalist gets an opportunity to travel to London, and a second city to meet leaders and innovators in the UK interactive sector.
- The programme will be tailored to the finalists’ interests, and include both a group itinerary for the finalists to get a shared overview of the best of the UK interactive scene and specific meetings to introduce finalists to UK contacts of particular interest to them for commercial or collaborative purposes.
- Take part in either a showcase opportunity to promote work from their country which they feel has potential for the UK and wider international market.
- In addition, work selected for the showcase will also be featured on the Creative Economy webpage for visitors to vote for their favourite.
- Participate in the IYIE (International Young Interactive Entrepreneur of the Year) award where the jury will select the overall international winner of the award.
- The winner will receive a YCE bowl designed by acclaimed glass designers Gillies Jones Glass (www.gilliesjonesglass.co.uk)
- In addition to the award title, the winner receives a financial prize (£7,500) to be spent on a collaborative project with the British Council that builds the relationship between the winning country and the UK.
- Attend the British Interactive Media Awards.
