This unique, searchable database contains up to date profiles of some of South Asia’s most talented women writers – biographies, bibliographies, prizes and photographs. It aims to create a network for women writers and to promote internationally voices that are less frequently heard. The site has developed from a conference organised by the British Council India in 2003, UKSAWWC, which brought together women writers from the UK and South Asia, many for the first time

BRITFILMS
A comprehensive portal of everything you need to know about British Film. It includes databases of all British films since 1998 and a directory of International Film & Video festivals as well as educational information and news.

Animating Literature
The best UK and international online resources on UK literature. The British Council Literature Department's portal provides news, information and discussion for readers, writers, teachers, students and literature professionals.

These pages showcase the 8,000 items held in the British Council art and design collection.

Arts and Culture for development performing art directory
ACD In Profile is a directory of 70 UK performing arts practitioners who have expressed an interest in facilitating international arts for development projects.
