British Council India

The Young Creative Entrepreneurs programme, run by the British Council since 2006, has catalysed the growth of cultural entrepreneurship in India, and connected hundreds of India’s most exciting innovators to a global network of their peers; and our major conference in December 2011 brings entrepreneurs together with leading figures from politics, commerce, education and the media to explore the future of the creative industries.

Meanwhile we’re developing fresh ways of bringing creative minds together across the cultural spectrum, from the artists-meet-scientists Tipping Point programme to new opportunities for creative entrepreneurs; and from 2012 onwards, we’re looking to work with partners to enable the expertise in cultural leadership and policy of the UK and other countries to make a major new contribution to the development of the Indian cultural sector.
