After focusing our recent efforts on connecting important niche sectors in the UK and India, such as documentary or experimental film, the British Council is returning to the mainstream film industry from late 2011 onwards. There’s no let-up in quality, mind: we’re as devoted as ever to innovation and promoting the best new creativity in UK and Indian cinema, with an exciting curated programme at November’s International Film Festival of India the starting point.
