As writers, we need to make decisions about the information we supply; and the way in which we supply this information. This section offers advice on writing plans, quality control, decision-making and English usage.
Editing skills
Training
After completing our schedule of training (for corporate and country authors), the majority of our face-to-face support is for projects and individuals whose jobs require a lot of writing. We also offer advice around online marketing and persuasive writing (promotions, articles, and opinion pieces). If you are preparing your own training, we can help you with workbooks, exercises and advice.
Writing for the web course
This course is designed for new or inexperienced writers, to develop writing skills and confidence. It covers the basic principles of web writing, using practical exercises. Find out more about the workshop and download the training materials.
Writing for promotions course
This course can help experienced writers and marketing professionals to develop theirr creative thinking and writing skills. The course looks at the persuasive techniques used in promotions: how and when to influence your audience; the reasons for creative writing; and the organisation's standards in this area. Group warm-up exercises
If you are running a workshop or course, these exercises can help to inspire a group; they are designed to stimulate thinking, promote creativity and encourage participation. And they should take no more than 30 minutes for a group of ten.
