Documentation to support web 2001-2004 project teams

Between 2002-2004 documentation was produced by IBD to guide and advise project teams working on the project to help them develop new websites that met proven customer needs.  You can download the main project guidance materials here.

MARKET RESEARCH
The project involved a completely new approach to our online audience. This new way of thinking meant developing websites that focused on our customers and their needs.

The first step for project teams developing a customer-focused website was to conduct market research. Analysis of the market research results helped project teams understand their customers better and develop appropriate site structures and journeys based on proven customer needs.

PLANNING RESOURCES
Delivering a website that met the project criteria required careful planning.  IBD provided planning guidance to help country operations and departments establish project teams and plan and implement the project successfully.

RESOURCING ISSUES
To help country operations and departments prepare for delivering on Web 2001-2004 IBD provided documentation outlining the resourcing implications for the project.

TECHNICAL GUIDANCE
The technical guidance evolved during the project. Initial technical documentation about Obtree and the new British Council web templates was produced by AKQA, the new media agency responsible for designing the web templates and implementing Obtree.  As the project progressed so did our technical documentation.  Find out more about our current technical and Obtree user documentation.
