There are three new image sizes on the new homepage template. There is an initial pool of images for you to use and new images will be added to it on a regular basis. All the new images are available in Obtree in the global common group, homepage images subtype.

Searching for images in Obtree

All the new images are named global-common-widthxheight-description-of-image e.g. global-common-150x75-girl-listening-headphones

Here are a few search suggestions that should help you find the right image:

• Search only in global common group, homepage images subtype
• Search on the size of image you require in the URL field e.g. 150x75 should bring up all images of that size
• Search on key words: student, exam, learning, education, woman, man, girl, boy, music, alumni, young learner, smiling, writing, reading, talking
• Search on your country in the URL field, e.g.: hongkong
• Studio shots with a white background from snapshots have the word 'snapshots' in the URL, e.g. global-common-150x75-snapshots-description-of-image e.g. global-common-150x75-snapshots-man-in-black-jacket-smiling

Country/purpose specific images

If you would like to use an image in the database that contains text however the text does not match your requirements or the text needs to be translated. Provide the correct information or translation as well as the image name to kiseastasia@britishcouncil.org.au and the correct image will be created for you. Allow up to two working days for this.
