HOW TO CREATE A POLL FOR YOUR WEBSITE
A guide for webmasters
There are two action points to undertake when creating a poll for your website.
Create a poll for your website
Apply the poll to your page. The polls can be placed on the homepage, poll and article and the photographic gallery templates.
What do you need to do?
If you have a webmaster login you will be able to create polls. If you don't have a webmaster login please contact your IBD manager of web2004@britishcouncil.org.
Next steps...
Step 1 Create a poll
Go to the Create Poll page. Create a poll using the form on this page. This is an easy procedure and you do not need to log in to the ContentManager.
Step 2 Apply the poll to your page
Log in to Obtree C4 ContentManager
Open the page where you want to add the POLL
Select Edit extensions and where it says show/hide straw polls change this to show slot 7
When the slot shows up on the page go to edit mode and click on the table icon and select REPLACE OBJECT. Search for the object that you created when you filled in the CREATE POLL form.
The object will be named the same as the question you put in. Example: If the question is Do you like poems you would search for do_you_like_poems with underscores separating the words.
When you have found the object you created, select it and it will appear on your page.
