Newsfeed

The purpose of the newsfeed is to promote news items that drive customers into important pages on the website.  For example, exam registration dates, promoting an event, latest course information.

The newsfeed consists of five stories that fade slowly.  This was considered to be the most accessible treatment for the newsfeed as a result of the usability testing; there is a pause and play button if customers want to stop the newsfeed.

Each text object for the newsfeed must be in sentence case (the first letter of the sentence is capitalized, with the rest being lower case, unless you include proper nouns), and plain text without a style including bold or applied to it.  The maximum headline length is 15-20 words in English.  If the text object is longer it will not display.
