INYS Events Supported in 2007-08
22 events were supported as part of the 2007-08 INYS programme. All the events were either run by the British Council in partnership with UK and local research organisations or were given grants to develop future collaboration workshops. The events ran a wide range of subjects including, climate modelling, stem cells, drug prescribing, nanomechanical sensors, sustainable energy, high performance computing , the biology of cancer and infection and immunity.

The events linked young researchers from the UK with colleagues representing over 20 different countries, including, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Croatia, Denmark, India, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Tanzania, and Thailand.

INYS events supported in 2006-07
26 events were supported as part of the 2006-07 INYS programme. All the events were run by the British Council in partnerships with UK and local research organisations. The events were run in a wide range of subjects including, genomics, stem cells, cancer prevention, renewable energy, neuroimaging, marine conservation, food web dynamics, climate change, earthquakes and astrophysics.

The events linked young researchers from the UK with colleagues representing over 22 countries including, Australia, Cameroon, Chile, China, Cuba, Estonia, Hungary, India, Norway, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

We also provided funds for leading UK researchers to plan future INYS events and to arrange other networking opportunities.
