Since it first started, the Peacekeeping English Project has invested significant resources to provide professional development for teachers, teacher trainers and language training administrators.
The Project's training programme covers both in-country and international events. There have been notable advances in the following training areas:
* Public sector ELT Management
* An international trainer training scheme
* ESP for teachers in uniformed services contexts
* Establishment and maintenance of Self-Access Centres.
An important task for the Project is to establish sustainable systems for professional development. This makes it easier to transfer skills and knowledge within individual countries and across and beyond the Project as a whole.
If you are interested in working for the Peacekeeping English Project, all external posts are advertised on our website where there are also details of other British Council teaching posts. Unfortunately CVs are not held on file so we would recommend that you review the website regularly to check for current vacancies.
