Why should I choose Belgium?
Belgium is the centre of the European Union and has a rich, fascinating culture. Well-known for its beer and chocolate, it also has lots of fashionable restaurants, cafés and bars as well as cathedrals, castles and modern art.

What are the terms and conditions in Belgium?
Posts in secondary schools and higher education institutions are available to undergraduates and graduates. You must have AS-level, Higher Grade or equivalent in French to apply.

Dates of appointment: 1 October – 31 May
Hours: Between 12 and 16 hours per week
Pay: €872.55  per month net
Age limits: the Belgian authorities will only consider candidates under the age of 30

You must be the holder of a UK or EU passport to apply for a post in Belgium.

Where can I go in Belgium?
Posts will be available in the “Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles” (Brussels and Wallonia). The number of posts in each area depends on demand.

Will I be interviewed?
No interviews will be held.

Will there be an induction course?
You will be invited to an introductory meeting in Brussels at the beginning of October

When will  I hear?
You will receive an email from us confirming receipt of your application by early January.

			May - June - you will find out if your application has been successful
			Mid July - you will find out the location of your post from the British Council
