IELTS Nationalisation
Free of Charge

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

THE IELTS NATIONALISATION EQUIVALENCE CHART CHANGES FROM 1ST JULY 2012.

The IELTS certificates have been nationalised free of charge since the beginning of 2009. Due to the international success of the IELTS exam, we thought that our candidates should also be able to use their IETLS certificates not only abroad but also in Hungary.

With the nationalised certificates candidates are able to apply for universities or for colleges or to prove their English knowledge to an employer.

According to the agreement with the Ministry of Education all candidates are entitled to receive a state acknowledged certificate of English language. The administration and the cost of the nationalisation are covered by the British Council, so it is free of charge for the candidates.

Candidates can make a very good use of this nationalised certificate when applying to universities in Hungary, they receive extra points at the entrance exam and also they can use the IELTS exam when they acquire a diploma from a higher education institution. To receive a state acknowledged certificate, candidates need to indicate which level they wish to have a Hungarian certificate. These certificates will be posted within approximately 4 weeks after the IELTS certificates have been received.

The equivalence chart of the received levels can be found below.
