SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

In order to ensure that the language ability of all candidates is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for candidates who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties.

If you require a modified version of the test, for example in Braille, you must give the test centre three months' notice. This notice period is necessary for the modified test version to be prepared.

If your circumstances require only special administrative arrangements to be made, such as extra time, you must give the test centre a six weeks' notice.

Please contact us at exams@britishcouncil.hu to discuss your requirements.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All IELTS candidates will have their photo taken by IELTS staff on test day before the test and this will be used on the Test Report Form (TRF). This is to ensure that the person whose photograph appears on the TRF is the person who took the test. This also provides receiving organisations additional security.

Your digital photograph and the personal data will be used only for the purpose of the IELTS test. They will be stored by British Council and the University of Cambridge and destroyed after a 2 year period. We will ensure that our staff and those acting on our behalf obtain, use and disclose personal information lawfully and correctly.

Candidates wearing glasses will be asked to remove them before their photos are taken. Cultural sensitivities have been considered. If you have any questions or experience any inconvenience on the test day, please notify our staff immediately.

Every candidate, including minors, must have the test day photo taken without exception.

Refusal to comply with IELTS identity verification will prevent you from taking the test and you will not be eligible for any transfer, cancellation or refund.
