Demonstrating Progress
We evaluate your child's progress through continuous assessment. Each nine-week term features two assessed activities and after each assessment your child will reflect on how they performed. At the end of each term, the teacher will discuss your child’s work with them one to one and will comment on their self assessment record that is kept in their folder for you to see.
A Report is sent home on your child's progress at the end of each semester if they have attended 75% of classes. Our observations on learning progress and strengths during assessments help inform our comments, as well as the grades we award for reading, writing, listening, speaking and effort/participation.
Our Middle and Upper Primary courses are closely linked with Cambridge YLE examinations.
Placement test and counselling To register for your first British Council course a placement test is required to assess your child’s current level of English. A course counsellor will then help select the course most suited to their English level.

Working in Partnership
We understand that you want to be involved in and support your child's learning. To this end we have created an outline of the roles and responsibilities of all those involved in the learning process.
