Middle and Upper Primary Courses
For Primary 3 – Primary 6 students

Welcome to our Middle and Upper Primary Programmes.

In Middle Primary courses, students in school years P3 and P4 study together. In Upper Primary courses, students in P5 and P6 study together. Within each age grouping, we offer classes at three levels of English proficiency.

Before enrolling, students sit a short placement test and talk to one of our course counsellors, who will assess their English proficiency.  This enables us to place your child in the class that best meets their language learning needs.

Our Middle and Upper Primary courses feature:

  • communicative methodology
  • interesting topics and imaginative project work
  • integrated skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading)
  • a focus on literacy (with materials integrated from the UK National Curriculum literacy hour for level 3 students, whilst graded readers and authentic storybooks are introduced at levels 1 and 2)
  • continuous assessment through class-based activities
  • independent learning skills development (self-assessments, reading at home incentives, lesson reflection and weekly record)
  • the latest classroom technology, including language learning software and interactive whiteboards

These combine to provide a motivating and enjoyable learning experience for your child that complements their learning at school and develops skills for international qualifications, for example Cambridge Young Learners English Tests.
