About This Workshop

This workshop is for secondary school students who are currently studying in Form 5. The aims of this workshop are to help your child prepare for the HKCEE oral paper by:

  • Familiarising your child with the content and structure of the HKCEE exam assessed oral tasks
  • providing targeted exam practice for the HKCEE exam

Objectives

The workshop is taught by qualified native-speaker teachers and allows your child to:

  • become familiar with what happens during the examination and to develop effective strategies for dealing with exam conditions;
  • practise group discussions and individual responses about relevant & interesting topics. Special attention is paid to pronunciation, fluency, useful expressions and conversation strategies, together with other relevant areas;
  • evaluate your child’s performance and that of other students on video;
  • practise under simulated exam conditions;
  • receive individual attention and advice from the workshop teacher.

Workshop Content

Your child will work from carefully designed British Council materials. They will be able to practise group discussion and individual response skills under test conditions and receive feedback from their teacher.

Demonstrating Progress

Video recordings are used to evaluate progress.
