Issac read a poem from an anthology in class about a nasty monster. We studied the poem, looking at how the poem used language to convey how horrible the monster is. We also used a thesaurus to try to find a wider range of vocabulary items for ‘nasty’. Then for homework, Issac produced this excellent poem. I really like the way he uses the acrostic form in the first stanza, and the way he represents his very vivid imagination.
