NEW SENIOR SECONDARY COURSES
For Form 3 to Form 4 students

New Senior Secondary English for Form 3 & 4

This year we are proud to launch new courses which complement the New Senior Secondary (NSS) English curriculum and build on our strengths for helping your child with confident spoken English.

These courses will help students in form 3 and 4 enhance their  ability to communicate by engaging them in motivating topics and tasks.

Please click below items for further information.

Characteristics of the courses

Our interactive teaching style helps students to formulate and express views in speech and writing to develop their communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills.

Our teachers use guided discovery approaches to help understand and use new grammar and vocabulary. We give your child regular feedback on their progress but also encourage them to assess themselves. These aspects develop students’ ability to study independently for school exams, further or higher education or in the workplace.

It's not all serious though. The latest classroom technology makes learning interactive and fun. Our form 3 and 4 courses encourage creativity and skills development through language arts and non-language arts materials related to the New Senior Secondary (NSS) curriculum.

Course information and registration

Your child will be grouped by age and language level from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced. Our qualified, experienced teachers use a task-based approach to:

  • complement the New Senior Secondary (NSS) curriculum launched in September 2009
  • build confidence in group discussion and individual presentation tasks
  • increase interaction through working in pairs and groups
  • encourage independent learning and good study skills

Placement test and counselling
To register for your first British Council course a placement test is required to assess your child's current level of English. A course counsellor will then help select the course most suited to their English level.
