When you complete the WE4 course you will be issued with a British Council report including your assessment results and comments from your teacher.

The HKVEP scoring method determines the final average overall grade a student obtains upon completion of a course. For HKVEP Level 1 assessments, the point scores are as below:

Grade on assessment Points scored
1A 4
1B 3
1C 2
Grades below 1C 0

The total point scores a student obtain from the six assessments during WE4 A and B will then be divided by 6 and the final average score is converted into an HKVEP Overall Grade, which is to be shown on the HKVEP/LCCI certificate. Please refer to the conversion table below.

HKVEP Overall Grade Average point score
1A Greater than or equal to 3.5
1B Greater than or equal to 2.5 and less than 3.5
1C Greater than or equal to 1.5 and less than 2.5
Not Graded (NG) Less than 1.5

In other words, to reach the HKVEP Level 1C, a student has to obtain at least 9 HKVEP point scores out of the 6 assessments.

To obtain the HKVEP/LCCI certificate at the end of the course the student must attain a minimum of 9 HKVEP point scores out of the 6 assessments during WE4A and WE4B.

You can register for the certificate within two years of the end of your course.

This is an international qualification which can be used as a Benchmark Test to claim Continuing Education Fund(CEF).
