English for Work

You will learn to operate effectively in English at work or in business by:

  • learning practical skills such as email writing, telephoning, meetings and presentations
  • developing your confidence to speak and listen in workplace situations
  • understanding and using useful new words and phrases
  • speaking, reading and writing about workplace topics
  • using grammar more accurately and improving your pronunciation

You can take a Workplace English Course if you already have an elementary level of English or if you are more advanced and want to sharpen your skills for more challenging situations.

You may choose a Writing at Work course to focus on producing professional emails, letters and reports in English.

You will also have free access to our self-study centre on the 3rd floor of our Admiralty centre. It contains a variety of materials, including CD-ROMs, videos, audiotapes and books.
