About This Course

You will learn to operate effectively in English at work or in business by learning practical skills and language for the workplace.

Course Objectives

You will work towards the following learning outcomes:

  • make introductions
  • make arrangements for meetings
  • talk about ability and possibility
  • complete and reply to emails
  • exchange information about companies
  • listen for specific information
  • write emails using appropriate register
  • find information from short texts
  • ask for opinions and weigh up pros and cons
  • make predictions about the future
  • listen to phone calls and complete messages

Course Content

The course book is In Company Elementary. Your teacher will select the most relevant material from the book and supplement it to make lessons relevant and stimulating.

Demonstrating Progress

You will take regular assessment tasks to evaluate your progress throughout the course and your teacher will counsel you on your progress.

At the end of WE4A and WE4B, you will receive a report on your progress and areas for improvement. At the end of WE4B if you have attended at least 75% of the course and passed your assessment tasks you can convert your course assessments into a recognised qualification issued by HKVEP and accredited by LCCI.
