Launch date of the 2008-2009 Scholarships for Excellence scheme.  

Application forms available at the website of British Council and Hong Kong universities. Your applications will be processed as soon as all requested documents are submitted.

30 April 2008

Deadline for applications.  Completed application forms with supporting documents should be returned to Scholarships & Educational Exchanges Officer, Scholarships for Excellence, British Council, 3 Supreme Court Rd, Admiralty, Hong Kong, by this date.

15 May 2008

Short-listed candidates will be notified in writing by this date.

Late May - early June 2008

Interviews will take place during late May to early June.Successful and reserve candidates will be notified after the interviews. Successful candidates must then return a Confirmation of Acceptance form.

31 July 2008

Official award letter will be issued to successful candidates. Scholarships will not be awarded to candidates who have not had a university place confirmed by this date.

September 2008

Welcome Reception for UK Students in Hong Kong.  All UK students who are currently studying in Hong Kong are welcome to join the reception.

May 2009

Farewell reception for awardees of Scholarships for Excellence.
