27 January 2012
Deadline for applicants to submit their eChevening application.

ATTENTION APPLICANTS - we are aware that there is an ongoing problem with the online application site, eChevening.  The site is currently accepting applications however due to the unprecedented demand the system is very slow.  In light of this we have decided to extend the global application deadline until Friday 27 January.

We encourage all candidates to keep trying to submit their applications though please be aware that it may take several attempts to submit your form successfully.  Applicants should also ensure they use Internet Explorer when logging onto the site as eChevening works best with this web browser.

If you experience any such issues, please email your full name, contact number and email address to chevening@britishcouncil.org.hk. and our Education Project Officer will reply to you accordingly.

Apologies again for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Please send the supporting documents immediately after you submit your eChevening application. Only applications with the following supporting documents will be considered.

1. A covering letter with a list of submitted supporting documents

2. A copy of your Hong Kong or Macao permanent residence identity card

3. A copy of your IELTS certificate

4. Two SEALED reference letters (at least one academic)

5. A copy of your academic transcripts and/or certificates, from your HKALE or equivalent results to tertiary qualifications, with accompanying certified translation into English if necessary

6. A letter of acceptance from a UK institution or application acknowledgement. (E-mail or letter acknowledgements will also be accepted.)

Note: Please cite your mobile number on all your submitted supporting documents.

Please send your application and supporting documents to:
