Connecting Classrooms is a global school partnership programme which aims to develop the skills and understanding of children and young people in the UK and around the world so that they may contribute positively, in life and work, to a global society. This includes improving the leadership skills of young people to support the strong global dimension of their learning experience. At the same time, with the development of this programme, it will help build trust and understanding between people in different societies and cultures.
In 2010-2011, British Council Hong Kong and the Hong Kong schools worked on a Joint Curriculum Project - Better Community, Better life (BCBL). The project gives young people a shared, creative public platform to explore their local community, learn about other cultures and express themselves regarding global issues, partner's schools in the UK and Hong Kong to work together on an agreed theme.
