Chichester College

Chichester College is a Further Education College that enjoys an international reputation for teaching quality, variety of courses and student success. We are located on the South Coast of England, 90 minutes by train from central London.  We welcome students aged 16 and over to study English Language, A-levels, Foundation programmes, BTEC National Diplomas and other vocational qualifications. Gloucestershire College

Gloucestershire College is one of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK, offering a wide range of education and training programmes, from  A-levels and GCSEs to work-based learning and higher education. The college has excellent academic results and strong employer links. It has two main sites: the brand new Gloucester campus which has a strong vocational focus and industry standard equipment and facilities. Scholarship details

Two one-year scholarships for study on any A-level or National Diploma programme. The course applied for must be a minimum of two years in length, with the scholarship offered for the first year.

Selection criteria  

Applicants must produce a personal statement of between 500 and 750 words demonstrating the following:

  • they have a good academic and disciplinary
    record and a minimum IELTS score of 5.0
  • they have a real financial need for the scholarship
  • how they intend to use the qualification obtained
  • a range of activities outside of their academic
    studies.

Moira House Girls School

Moira House is a day and boarding school for 360 girls located in the south coast town of Eastbourne. The majority of our students are local. Boarders represent some 23 nationalities.

Scholarship details

Sixty per cent tuition and boarding fee waiver for two years, for a GCSE or A-level course.  A successful scholar in GCSE may enjoy a 25 per cent reduction on tuition and boarding fees when she is successfully promoted to an A-level course in Moira House Girls School .

Selection criteria

Applicants must be from schools teaching in the Chinese medium, with the ability to study eight to 10 GCSE and three to four A-level subjects.

Scholarship details

We are offering two scholarships for the first year of the two-year A-level or International Bacclaureate Diploma programmes for students who have demonstrated an excellent track record in their academic studies. The scholarships are valued at £4000 each, available to students who study their A-level or IB programme at Swansea College.

Selection criteria  

Successful candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic history. They will also be required to provide a statement of no more than 750 words explaining why they wish to study at Swansea College and to give an idea of their aspirations for the future. Should there be more than two deserving candidates then final selection will be made on the basis of interview with the International Manager.

Yale College of Wrexham is offering one full tuition-fee scholarship of £4,500 to a Hong Kong student. Students who apply for the full scholarship but do not qualify would be considered for the partial £750 scholarship. Selection criteria  

Applicants must provide the following:

  • international student application form
  • reference letter from school
  • IELTS examination results or equivalent

Scholarship details

Edge Hill University is offering a scholarship to a student who has overcome adversity to pursue their goals. The scholarship is worth £7900 and waives tuition fees for the first year of the student's course. It is available to those wishing to study at undergraduate level in the Health, Education or Arts & Science faculty.

Selection criteria

Applicants are asked to write an essay of approximately 1000 words with the title: "How have you overcome adversity to pursue your ambitions?" The selection committee will look for applicants who have persevered with their education in spite of serious difficulties they have faced. We are keen to see how an applicant's past experience has helped to shape them and their ambitions and why they now wish to continue their education overseas.

Richmond, The American International University in London

Richmond is a multi-cultural American liberal arts college. The university supports a world perspective of

understanding, awareness and cultural diversity and is accredited in both the UK and US. Courses are undertaken at both its campuses, normally Richmond Hill for the first two years and Kensington for the final two. The academic calendar consists of two 15- week semesters and two five-week summer semesters.

Scholarship details

In addition to this one-year full-tuition British Council 60th Anniversary Scholarship, the university offers both residential and Deans Scholarships. These are also awarded mainly on academic merit and require that students maintain minimum academic levels throughout their academic career. Scholarships are available for autumn and spring semesters only. To be considered for scholarships students must be admitted to the university following submission of a complete set of application materials.

Selection criteria

The main focus for eligibility is academic merit. The university will review each student submission for Richmond, the American International University in London – British Council 60th Anniversary Scholarship according to the following, in order of priority:

  • application form, using the choice of academic background, academic and non-academic achievements
  • personal statement
  • confidential referee's statement.

Scholarship details

Bradford College is pleased to offer one scholarship to a student wishing to undertake any Master's programme. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition fees only as applicable in the year of study. Students will require sufficient funds to pay for accommodation and living costs.

Selection criteria

Students should hold a first degree and have achieved a grading in English of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. They must  provide two references and a personal statement, outlining why they should be granted the scholarship and an account of their personal and academic achievements (maximum two pages).

Students wishing to undertake a teacher education related programme will be subject to Criminal Record Bureau checks.

Scholarship details

The scholarship is for postgraduate study in Creative and Performing Arts (Priority on Fashion). The objective of the scholarship is to enable academically gifted students possessing creative flair who have the personal characteristics to enable them to fulfil an ambassadorial role for UCLan. The scholarship is for one year and therefore covers one full year of tuition fees, but excludes living costs.

All applicants must:  

  • hold a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • meet entry criteria of programme of study
  • demonstrate potential through providing a portfolio of the highest level
  • have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
  • provide a written statement, including how a postgraduate course will help contribute to their personal / professional development / future career and how they could help promote  opportunities to Hong Kong students to study in the UK.
