ZeroCarbonCity

A British Council global campaign around climate change and the environmental impact of city living and urban industry.

With the aim of raising awareness of climate change and the energy challenges the world's cities face, a series of themed events and educational activities are touring over 60 countries world wide from 2005 to 2006.

What is ZeroCarbonCity?
A UK initiated campaign to raise global awareness and stimulate debate around greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, social and environmental issues caused by urbanisation and industrialisation.
Arts Cafe
The majority of the world's scientists agree that the Earth's climate is changing because of manufactured gases. The result will be a sustainability altered climate. What are the evidential signs that Mother Nature is already exhibiting? What may happen if we do not do something soon enough?
Get involved!

How can individuals contribute to this global agenda? How can you make a difference locally in Hong Kong? For starters - visit the NSEW Climate Change Exhibition, take part in the School CO2 Emissions Campaign, take part in our ZCC quizzes and be one of our Little Meteorologists.

Publications and websites

This campaign is just a part of the picture. There are hundreds of articles, books and websites dedicated to the various issues around greenhouse gases and the future of our planet. With the help of scientists, students and political thinkers, we've selected some of the best material to help you find out more.
