- Conducted in English - Suitable for primary and secondary school teachers
In this workshop, renowned UK theatre company Desperate Men discuss how they create their own unique brand of performance. With the help of audio-visuals, games and exercises, Jon Beedell and Richard Headon explain how they turn topical, scientific and environmentally based issues into comic and engaging interactive theatre.
This is a practical and participatory workshop that gives teachers a chance to develop fresh approaches in the area of creativity and science and put these techniques into practice the very next day!
-To develop creative approaches to teaching science through art and build on science teachers’ own creativity -To enable teachers to further stimulate and fire the imagination of children in the classroom -To promote approaches to teaching and learning that engage and motivate children and demand their active participation -To explore curriculum links between science and art to enable teachers to enhance children's learning experience
Facilitators: Richard Headon and Jon Beedell Organisation: Desperate Men, Bristol
