	How do I enter?

You can enter by:

1. Submitting a video by sending us a YouTube link, or

2. Auditioning live in person at the Hong Kong Science Museum.

In order to communicate science effectively and accurately, we encourage that you check the content of your presentation with your professors/superiors to ensure that the scientific concept you are delivering is accurate and reflects the latest science.

Please note that your registration also acts as confirmation that you will be able to attend a 2-day weekend MasterClass on 22 - 23 October 2011 (exact time to be determined but likely from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.). If you are chosen to compete in the FameLab Hong Kong Final but cannot attend the MasterClass, you will be disqualified from the competition.

		Submitting a video entry

If you decide to submit a video entry, please take note of these criteria:

Up to 3 minutes long (content will not be judged after 3 minutes)
No editing or special effects
No other people or excessive props
No background music (unless that is what you are talking about!)

Recording quality will not be assessed but remember that the clearer you make it the better we can judge it! Videos will need to be uploaded to YouTube and links sent to us after the competition opens in September.

Deadline to submit video entries: Wednesday, 19 October 2011

Please note that if your video entry is chosen to go forward to the FameLab Hong Kong Final, you will be expected to present a DIFFERENT 3 minute presentation.

		Auditioning in person

If you decide to audition in person on Friday 21 October 2011 at the Hong Kong Science Museum, register online by Wednesday, 19 October 2011 and you will receive a confirmation e-mail stating when you should arrive that day. We will likely ask you to arrive an hour before your scheduled audition time.

Deadline to register for live auditions: Wednesday, 19 October 2011

If you miss the deadline to register, we do welcome walk-ins but only until 4:30pm on Friday 21 October 2011.

		What happens after the live audition/video submission?

After presenting at the live auditions on Friday 21 October 2011 or submitting your video entry by Wednesday 19 October 2011, we will tell you whether you will compete in the FameLab Hong Kong Final either on that same day or two days afterwards. Please note that you will need to deliver another 3-minute presentation at the FameLab Hong Kong Final which will take place on Saturday 19 November 2011 in the afternoon (exact time to be confirmed).
