Hong Kong's first ten years as a Special Administrative Region (SAR) are reflected in the striking photographs of this exhibition. Thanks to both the British and Hong Kong Press Photographers' Associations, the images capture a defining decade through the lenses of photographers from top British and Hong Kong news organisations such as Reuters, The Guardian, Sing Tao Daily and South China Morning Post.
Organised by the British Consulate-General, British Council, British Press Photographers Association, Hong Kong Press Photographers Association and City University of Hong Kong, the collection also features work from an aspiring photojournalist. Siu Wai Hang, who studies at City University of Hong Kong, won a competition sponsored by the British Consulate-General and then travelled to the UK in May to take photographs and shadow established British journalists. The enthralling collection of images he captured, which includes Tony Blair in his final days as Prime Minister, can be seen in this exhibition.
