In close collaboration with the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the British Council supports the Festival Plus programme. This year, the British Council has brought professional theatre practitioners from the UK to the 2010 Festival to offer you exclusive moments with Steven Berkoff and artists from the Nottingham Playhouse.
Talk: Theatre and Society
An in-depth talk on theatre appreciation and analysis led by director Steven Berkoff. This talk will focus on reading the social dimensions explored in On the Waterfront and its relevance to today's pressing social issues.

Workshop: Devising Physical Theatre
Assistant director Matthew Cullum and actors of the ensemble will lead a workshop focusing on the philosophy, devising concepts and rehearsal methods of Berkoff's signature physical style. This workshop will use specific scenes from the script to illustrate physical theatre methods used in the production.

Meet-the-artist: Berkoff Meeting the Audience
