In partnership with the British Council, Hong Kong charity Redress, organisers of the recent EcoChic Design Award Hong Kong 2011 sustainable fashion design competition, is proud to present a 'behind the seams' exploration into groundbreaking sustainable fashion techniques and trends hitting London’s shops and catwalks. This lively information sharing session will be hosted by Janko Lam, the EcoChic Design Award Hong Kong 2011 Winner, and Cherry Wong, the co-founder of the EcoChic Design Award.
This interactive discussion includes a preview of the UK’s hottest Spring/Summer 2012 sustainable fashion garments from designers exhibiting at London Fashion Week’s ‘Estethica’; a visual presentation of the latest UK sustainable fashion trends; and an introduction to London’s pioneering sustainable fashion educational centres.
Bringing this back ‘home’ to Hong Kong, EcoChic Design Award Hong Kong 2011 Winner Janko Lam will share her vision for sustainable fashion design in Hong Kong.
To complement the discussion, there will be an exhibition of the EcoChic Design Award Hong Kong 2011 Grand Finalists' designs.
