The British Council is now organising a forum on creative entrepreneurship where young creative entrepreneurs from the UK and Asia, including some finalists of the British Council's Young Design Entrepreneur awards, will share their success stories and dialogue with local professionals. A panel discussion and Q&A session will follow the presentations from overseas speakers. Practitioners in the creative industries, business professionals who aspire to join the creative sectors and tertiary students in related disciplines are welcome.
Creative Entrepreneurs are people who provide the link between creative talents and the market (creative consumers). Our speakers will discuss the challenges and opportunities in connecting creativity and business to inspire Hong Kong's creative industries. We hope to create a shared understanding about the contribution creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation can make to the long-term prosperity of a city.
Speakers / Panellists:
- Vicky Brophy (animation, UK)
- Anna Hart (product design, UK)
- Ruttikorn Vuttikorn (toy design, Thailand)
- Ming Xu (interior and furniture design, China)
- Roland Yu (multimedia, interactive and motion graphics design, Hong Kong)
Facilitator:
- Alvin Yip (School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University)
Please click the links below for their bios.
The event is organised in association with the Hong Kong Design Centre and the Center for Entrepreneurship of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
