British Council Plus Series 2008
Commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Festival

In close collaboration with the Hong Kong Arts Festival and Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the British Council supports the Festival's educational Plus programme. In 2005, The Yellow Earth Theatre conducted a full-day teachers’ workshop for over 100 primary/secondary school teachers of various disciplines on the significance of adopting dramatic skills in their teaching.  A special matinee show of The Nightingale was also exclusively staged for Young Friends of Hong Kong Arts Festival.

The education programme we commissioned with the Hong Kong Arts Festival was stronger than ever in 2006! We put together specialists from the diverse UK representation in the 2006 Festival to offer you exclusive moments with artists from the Birmingham Symphony Chorus, Red Priest and of course, the National Theatre.
