In 2009, we are organising a series of activities which aim to build the capacity of local students in learning English by encouraging them to read and write their own stories. Activities will be themed around storytelling and picture books, making stories more interesting and more visual for students of different ages. There will be activities for students, teachers and parents.
In March, the British Council, in partnership with The Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival, is organising workshops with renowned children's author Elizabeth Laird and illustrator Tony Ross from the UK to encourage the joy of reading to Hong Kong young people.
