I am looking for books on English Language Teaching, what kind of books do you stock? |

We stock books on the promotion of student autonomy, teacher development, lesson planning, testing and evaluation of students, as well as other aspects of methodology, We also have books containing photocopiable materials for a wide variety of games. |

We have practice papers and preparation materials for a wide range of exams. The University of Cambridge English provides exams including Starters, Movers and Flyers for Young Learners, Cambridge Key English Test, Cambridge Preliminary English Test, Cambridge First Certificate in English, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English and Cambridge Proficiency. As well as the Cambridge Main Suite Exams, reference materials are also available for the Business English Certificate and IELTS exams. You can introduce children to books from an early age. We have a very wide range of picture books, story books and simplified readers and it is easy to find something to match your child's interests and hobbies. We also stock workbooks and exercise materials for primary and secondary students. These exercises help to improve students' vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and writing. Adults' listening practice, business writing and grammar books are also available. |

I am thinking about sending my child to the UK for study. Do you have any reference books on this? |

Yes, we stock a wide variety of UK curriculum references from Key Stage to GCSE and national test reference. Also, school guides and handbooks of boarding schools, colleges and universities can be found in the shop as well. |

I have just signed up for a course. Can i buy my course book at the shop and where can i find a list of course books? |

Anyone can buy books at the British Council shop. You don't have to be a student. We provide course books that are fully integrated into our courses at every level from level 1 to level 10. A complete course book list can be found on the bookshop's webpage. |

Can i order books from the shop? If so which ones? |

Yes, but it depends on the availability of stock. To order a book, we would need to see if we have a contact or an account with the publisher of the requested title. If we do, then it's possible to place an order. |

If I buy a large number of books at the same time, am I entitled to a discount? |
|
|
We offer discounts to language schools and private tutors who order a minimum of $3,000 worth of books or order 20 sets/copies of a single title. |

How often do you get new books? |
|
|
We stock new titles on a regular basis. With exams and reference titles, we stock new editions when they become available. With story books, titles are changed on a monthly to bi-monthly basis. |

No, we don't sell gifts. But we do carry some British Council branded items such as notebooks and umbrellas. |
